Most coaching sessions are conducted via
phone. If you feel like coaching in-person would be more effective
for you, I am willing to support your exploration of this
if you are willing to explore the possibility of having a
couple of sessions over the phone. I've found this to be an
effective way to challenge the idea that results can be obtained
only via in-person sessions. It also supports my
clients to open up to possibilities they would not have previously
considered. Ultimately, coaching is about supporting your
process so first and foremost is what supports you. However,
approximately 99.9% of my clients choose or have discovered
the powerful life-changing results of phone coaching.
The initial session is primarily discovery-based. We will
explore what is working in your life and what you'd like to
improve. Subsequent sessions are based on Rhonda Britten's
book Fearless Living. I assign a reading assignment (usually
one chapter of Fearless LIving), written assignment and occassionally
"real world" field-work type assignments that are
completed prior to each coaching session. The reading, written
and field-work assignments are your tools that bring awareness
to each coaching session. In our coaching session, I will
support you to clarify and more deeply integrate the tools
and skills that have been introduced so that you can realize
how living a life free from the debilitating thoughts/actions
of fear can shift you into living a life you love.
The process of coaching progresses through several stages:
- You will complete a Coaching Welcome kit that provides
background information so that you and your coach are well
informed of your current situation and focused on an area
of life that you are interested in shifting or transforming.
- During your first 55-minute session, you and your coach
discuss the Coaching Agreement, clarify ground rules and
discuss your vision for the three month coaching engagement.
- In subsequent 45-55 minute weekly coaching sessions, you
will learn tools and skills offered in the book Fearless
Living as your coach supports you to integrate the application
of those tools and skills more fully into your life. We
review the progress toward your vision and goals, explore
and resolve the most pressing issues, learn something new,
and then agree on a set of goals for the following week.
You will enjoy plenty of ah-ah insights along the way.
- By the end of three months, you can expect to reach more
than 70% of your three-month goals and feel energized and
confident to embark on new areas with or without your coach.
