Inc., (FFP) the new and informal mini-workshops hope to offer
how-to information-woman to woman-on everything from health
and relationships to starting a business, and particularly
on traditionally "male topics" such as financial planning,
investing and buying a car.
The idea for a women's group was born out of requests from
FFP's female clients, who were left not knowing much about
the family finances when their husbands pass away. FFP provides
life insurance and financial planning services. Recent studies
showing that women live longer than men have alerted more
and more companies, such as Foresters, to the growing need
to inform women about their present and future financial state.
"We want to help women be more involved with their financial
situation, not be intimidated by it," says Joel Mercado, Managing
Partner at Foresters Financial Partners in Orange. "Ms. Mayfield's
approach to 'fearless living' is exactly the kind of tone
we want to set with this new group. Women don't have to be
afraid of their financial future, or anything else, for that
matter!"
Mynde Mayfield brings the life experience of marriage, divorce,
motherhood and previous corporate career to her coaching style.
